With the incorporation of 723,000 girls, boys and adolescents as beneficiaries of the Universal Child Allowance (AUH), President Alberto Fernández will also announce this Thursday the elimination of the limit of 5 children to receive the benefit.
The chosen date is not accidental: Thursday 29 marks the 11th anniversary of the signing by then president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner of the Decree of Necessity and Urgency 1602/09, which put into effect said Assignment.

and restricts rights that correspond to children ”, they argue in the Government.
The cap or "maximum cumulative to the amount equivalent to 5 minors", which is now repealed, is set in article N ° 5 of DNU 1602/2009.
Of the 723,000 boys and girls who join, about 15,000 correspond to parents of more than 5 boys.
Meanwhile, the entire registry - which is 2.3 million parents of 4.3 million boys - is being analyzed in order to extend the Assignment to the boys of families that are reached by the ceiling.
It is estimated that it could be around 2%, about 150,000 children whose parents today are not entitled to the benefit.
The 723,000 boys and girls were detected "through the crossing of data included in the databases of Renaper, the National Directorate of Migration (DNM) and the National Registry of Recidivism."
Meanwhile, there are another 300,000 who "do not have a birth certificate or ID" that are in the process of regularization.
Currently, 52% of the 2.3 million parents who charge the Universal Child Allowance have only one child.
Another 28% have 2 children.
13%, three and with 4 children, are 5% of the parents.
And with 5 children, 2%.
They charge the AUH - of $ 3,540 per child, an amount that is adjusted for pension mobility, the father or mother ("prioritizing the mother") who lives with the minors who meet certain conditions:
• Be unoccupied.
• Be an unregistered worker (without contributions).
• Domestic worker.
• Social monotributista.
• Enrolled in We Make the Future, Hands on Work and other Work programs.
Of the total amount of $ 3,540, 80% is charged monthly and the remaining 20% annually with the presentation of the Universal Assignment Book, which includes the health and education certificate.
In the case of children with disabilities, the monthly allowance is $ 11,535.
There is no age limit in the case of a child with a disability.
In addition, an annual school aid of $ 2,966 is paid.
In the provinces of La Pampa, Chubut, Neuquén, Río Negro, Santa Cruz, Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and the South Atlantic Islands and the Patagones Party, province of Buenos Aires, the AUH is $ 4,602, and for boys with disability, $ 14,996.
Based on INDEC measurements, the CIPPEC (Center for the Implementation of Public Policies for Equity and Growth) reported that over 14 million children and adolescents under 17 years of age, with the pandemic, in the second quarter of this year, indigence reached 22.5% (3.2 million), while poverty reached 66.3% (9.3 million).
State aid (such as AUH, IFE, food card) managed to reduce indigence but had almost no effect on poor households with children under 17 years of age, due to the low level of such aid in relation to the cost of the basic family basket.
