The 2021 work calendar is now final.

And it will allow two great simultaneous holiday bridges throughout Spain, one more than in 2020. The first will be the one that can be organized around October 12, which will fall on Tuesday and that will allow four days of rest.

The second will still have one more day, since December 6, Constitution Day, falls on Monday, and December 8, Immaculate Day, on Wednesday.

There will be another public holiday across the country that will make for a long weekend around Monday, November 1, All Saints' Day.

They will not be the only ones, but they will no longer be common throughout Spain.

Labor regulations establish that there are 14 days of rest outside of holidays.

Eight of them are common to the 17 autonomous communities and to Ceuta and Melilla;

two others are national holidays that the communities can substitute;

two more that are specific to each autonomy and another two that are local and are decided by the municipalities.

To these wickers must be added another, the autonomous communities can move to Monday the holidays that fall on Sunday.

Thus, for example, Andalusia will move to March 1 the day of its regional holiday, Sunday February 28.

Next year those eight days of rest common to all of Spain will be the following:

- 1 of January New Year.

Friday.

- April 2.

Holy Friday.

- May 1.

Work party.

Saturday.

- October 12 °.

National holiday.

Tuesday.

- November 1st.

All Saints.

Monday.

- 6th of December.

Day of the constitution.

Monday.

- December 8.

Immaculate Day.

Wednesday.

- December 25th.

Christmas.

Saturday.

To this list we must add January 6, that no community has changed.

Thus, Kings Day will also be a holiday throughout Spain.

On the other hand, it does not appear this time on August 15, which falls on a Sunday.

In the 2021 calendar, particularities such as those of Catalonia and the Valencian Community are seen again with Holy Week, which do not decree Holy Thursday as a festive day and yes, Easter Monday.

In this way, both communities also chain four holidays.

However, there are other autonomies, such as the Basque Country, Navarra, La Rioja and the Balearic Islands that also mark that Monday as a holiday and raise the number of non-working days to five.

In the case of Navarra, when preparing its work calendar, there is a particularity that differentiates it from the rest of Spain.

In addition to the 12 coinciding holidays, there is one more, the day of San Francisco Javier (December 3), which in 2021 falls on Friday.

It is a local festival in which all the municipalities coincide.

On the Canary Islands, for its part, it should be noted that one of the public holidays that corresponds to the regional administration changes on each island.

Thus, while in Tenerife it will be a non-working day on February 2, in honor of the Virgen de la Candelaria;

in Gran Canaria it will be on September 8 for Nuestra Señora del Pino.
