Ségur de la santé: the guards of interns upgraded

According to an official government statement, the gross remuneration of interns will be increased by 25% from November 1.


The guards of healthy interns will be upgraded, according to a decree published this Saturday, October 31 in the official government journal.

The latter indicates that the increase of 25%, which reflects a commitment from the “Ségur de la santé”, is in addition to an increase in their remuneration on the same date.

The decree indicates in particular that for each daycare during the week the flat-rate allowance increases from 119.02 euros gross to 149 euros, while that for weekends and public holidays increases from 130.03 euros to 163 euros gross for interns. and acting internally.

This corresponds to an increase of 25%.

In a joint press release, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran and the Minister of Higher Education and Research Frédérique Vidal underline that the government committed itself during the “Ségur de la santé” this summer to “

a significant upgrading of guards of the 30,000 postgraduate health students (interns and junior doctors) in order to better recognize their contribution to the functioning of the health system

”.

The remuneration of interns and junior doctors in medicine, pharmacy and dentistry is thus upgraded from November 1: a first year intern will receive 147 euros per month in addition (+163 in second year, +116 in 3rd, +117 in 4th and +119 euros in 5th year), indicates the press release.

In addition, the flat-rate accommodation allowance, allocated to students carrying out an internship in an under-dense area, is increased from 200 to 300 euros gross per month.
