Launched at the beginning of the year, the giant fund to support French flagships listed on the stock exchange has just made its first investment.
Called “Lac 1”, it acquired a 5.08% stake in the capital of French chemist Arkema, for an amount of 348 million euros.
The investment fund, managed by the public investment bank Bpifrance, plans to increase its participation in the capital of the specialist in specialty chemicals.
And Bpifrance should obtain a seat on the board of directors at the next general meeting in May.

The strike force of "Lac 1" is very important.
The fund currently has 4.2 billion euros and aims to achieve an investment capacity of 10 billion euros.
