The acquisition of Bombardier Transport by Alstom is
“in the home stretch”,
to use the expression of Henri Poupart-Lafarge, CEO of the French group.
The manufacturer of the TGV entered, Monday, November 16, in the thick of the subject of the financing of this strategic operation which should give birth to the world number two in railway construction with 15.5 billion euros in turnover, a book orders of over 75 billion and 76,000 employees.
At the end of October, Alstom shareholders gave the green light to the operation, which will be financed through a bond issue of 200 million and two capital increases.
