Boeing's Flieger 737 Max is allowed to take off again after more than a year and a half.

One of the prerequisites for this is the installation of new control software on the aircraft, as reported by the US air traffic control agency FAA.

The Boeing share reacted to the news pre-market with a price jump of almost six percent.

The crisis jet was taken out of service in March 2019 in the course of two crashes with a total of 346 dead.

The main cause of the accidents was a faulty control program.

Boeing actually wanted to fix the problems after the first crash.

However, other defects repeatedly occurred, so that it ultimately took around 20 months for the FAA to lift the flight ban on the 737 Max.
