Are the giants of the Nasdaq running out of steam on the stock market?

ANALYSIS - The crisis has caused a rush on these fine growth stocks. But recently, the tide seems to be turning.


On the stock market, the American technology giants are the big winners from the health crisis.

The Gafams (Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft) have dramatically increased their dominance in global financial markets.

Now, these five giants weigh more than half of the Nasdaq 100, the index of the 100 largest digital companies listed on Wall Street.

Their weight has become overwhelming.

Between them, these behemoths capture nearly a third of the value of Standard & Poor's, the benchmark index of Wall Street which includes the 500 largest American groups, all sectors combined.

All the technological stocks listed in the world represent a capitalization of around 15 trillion, of which more than half for Gafam
