Oil prices rose 1 percent today, extending their gains.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures rose 63 cents, equivalent to 1.4 percent, to $ 45.59 a barrel this morning, while US West Texas Intermediate crude increased 49 cents, equivalent to 1.2 percent, to $ 42.91 a barrel.
The two mentioned crudes had jumped 5 percent last week.
