Launch of Blast, a program dedicated to defense and aerospace start-ups

Imagined by Onera, Polytechnique, SATT Saclay and the Starburst accelerator, this program aims to support 20 start-ups per year.

It is also the acronym for "Boost and Leverage Aerospace and Defense Technologies", the name of a new French acceleration program, specifically intended for aeronautics, space and defense start-ups whose ideas , innovations and technological bricks interest these industries of sovereignty.

At the origin of this initiative, an observation in the form of a paradox.

France has no shortage of engineers, laboratories, universities or research centers at the best world level, and yet this strike force is struggling to generate large numbers of start-ups.

Likewise, France has a world-class aeronautics, space and military industry, but which does not always have a direct line to connect to the world of start-ups.

And there is no specific program to grow young “deep-tech” shoots, disruptive innovations using advanced technologies, in these three areas.
