The Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection announced the start of the request for allocations for sugar and rice on the electronic card for the months of December and tomorrow, Friday, according to the new mechanism, via text messages that reach citizens on their mobile devices.

The Assistant Director-General of the Syrian Trade Corporation, Elias Mashath, explained in a statement to SANA that the sale of sugar and rice will start on the same day in all halls, whose balance has been enhanced by the two articles in advance, as the capabilities of all halls, complexes and sales centers have been determined according to their geographical distribution to meet the choices of all citizens in a way that does not cause Congestion by sending a number of messages, indicating the presence of a fleet of trucks transporting the two items to the governorates daily, with mobile cars in the areas where there are no halls selling the two items to any citizen who registered on his allocations without the message reaching him.

Mashath confirmed that the new mechanism has achieved its goal, which is to simplify procedures for citizens, organize the role, obtain subsidized materials easily and end the manifestations of congestion that occur when selling these materials, pointing to the direct follow-up from the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection to sell allocations around the clock.

The new mechanism depends on sending a text message that includes the date of receiving the materials from the specified hall from the citizen and he can choose it where it is closest to his place of residence or work, and accordingly he can buy his allowances from these two articles within a day from the date of the message’s arrival and if he is unable to do so within the specified period he can Re-application to take a new role.

As for choosing the most suitable lounge for each citizen to receive his allowances from it, the hall is determined from the same application dedicated to receiving gas cylinders, which is available through the Telegram channel or the website of the electronic card project or via the USSD service at the number "Star 9884 Square" or via the mobile application Win.

After determining the hall, you must return to the application to determine the quantities of sugar and rice required to send the message, and if the lounge is not specified and the quantities are determined, the message will not reach the citizens.
