Faced with the health and economic crisis that is shaking the country, the CGT calls for the rapid creation of 500,000 jobs in the hospital and regional public service as well as within the State services.

"

The pandemic which is raging has highlighted the catastrophic understaffing of health establishments

", underlines the power station in a press release, not forgetting the other sectors in tension such as "

the departmental fire and rescue services

" or "

finance staff

”who fight against tax fraud, not to mention“

education

”and“

research

”.

"

500,000 additional jobs are needed in the three sides of the public service

", Which corresponds to an overall increase of about 10%, excluding the military, insists the CGT.

The union's demands are also wages.

He asks for the “

immediate thaw of the value of the index point

”, frozen since 2010, and an “

immediate upgrading of grids and careers

”.

While "

more than 1.2 million agents are currently paid between the minimum wage and the minimum wage + 10%

", the CGT requires "

an immediate increase of 1% of the value of the index point, corresponding to a first measure revaluation

”.

She also calls for "

the repeal of the waiting day and the law on the transformation of the civil service

".

Other campaigns will follow to ask for 10% less working time (which would correspond to the passage to 32 hours) or even “

10% of concrete budgetary efforts to upgrade careers in predominantly female sectors

”.

The figure of 10% was retained because, according to the CGT, it "

works well to give an indication of the level of effort necessary to respond to the emergency and mark a break with austerity policies

".
