Private companies in the United States began to destroy jobs again in December, for the first time since April, penalized by Covid-19 and new activity restrictions, according to the monthly survey by the firm of ADP business services released Wednesday.
123,000 jobs were destroyed last month, compared to 304,000 jobs that were created in November, according to data revised downwards and also released on Wednesday.
Analysts had not expected job destruction in December, and expected 120,000 jobs to be created.
