The Real Estate Bank announced that it had achieved net profits of 5.7 billion Syrian pounds for the entirety of its business and activities last year related to lending, financing, collections and other banking products and services.
In a statement to the representative of SANA, the bank’s director general, Dr. Median, confirmed that the bank continued in 2020 granting loans to people with limited and free income to buy, construct or restore real estate and loans to cooperative societies, urban projects, tourism, commercial, industrial, crafts, educational and health facilities, in addition to development loans for owners of economic, service and tourism activities.
Ali pointed out that there are positive indicators in the bank during the past year through the increase in implemented housing loans and the increasing demand of citizens to obtain these loans in general, whether for purchase, cladding or restoration.
The real estate bank achieved net profits in 2019 amounting to one billion and 5 million Syrian pounds, and in 2018 profits were estimated at two billion and 53 million Syrian pounds.
