The Turkish lira fell more than 2 percent against the dollar today.
Reuters reported that the pound recorded 7.47 against the dollar, compared to Friday's closing level of 7.3550 per dollar.
Earlier, the pound fell about 2.2 percent to 7.52 pounds against the dollar.
The Turkish currency continues to deteriorate due to the deteriorating political and economic conditions in the country as a result of the policies of Recep Tayyip Erdogan's regime and its repressive measures that led to a decline in tourism and investments and a decrease in the country's foreign exchange earnings.
