There are currently lively debates in business and politics about the home office.
Only 14 percent of those in employment in Germany worked mostly or entirely from home in November - in April there were almost twice as many.
Now the pressure is increasing on companies to allow more home offices.
Of course, many professional fields are not at all suitable for this: Nursing staff, bakers, window cleaners, saleswomen and bus drivers, manufacturing industry - there is a wealth of jobs that can only be done on site.
Comments and letters show that for many people in these professions, the home office debate seems like a luxury problem.
