Just before Joe Biden was sworn in as President of the United States, the NRA, the National Rifle Association, filed for bankruptcy in New York State.
This, following the organization's intention to position itself in Texas as a non-profit organization and reposition itself.
"This move will allow the NRA to continue to exercise our right enshrined in the U.S. Constitution away from the toxic atmosphere in New York," the organization said in a statement.
The plan is to grow elsewhere, "said Wayne Le-Pierre, president of the organization," We are moving to a place that respects and values our values and celebrates the joining of law-abiding people who believe in their rights. "

The NRA has been located in New York for over 150 years.
The move comes after last year action was taken against the organization on behalf of the New York Attorney General led by prosecutor Leticia James.
She accused the NRA of diverting millions of dollars intended for charity for the personal use of the organization's management and associates and for the payment of silence fees to former employees.
James' response to the move was: "The NRA's economic move has finally met its level of morality: bankruptcy. We will not allow them to evade the proceedings."
