Dubai's airline group Emirates announced on Monday a vaccination program against the novel coronavirus of its staff based in the United Arab Emirates, which has tens of thousands of employees.

The vaccination campaign began this
(Monday)
morning, with priority given to frontline workers, including aircrews, pilots and other employees,
" the group said in a statement.
The program is intended to "
preserve the health and well-being of employees
", welcomed the aeronautical flagship of Dubai, specifying that the vaccines to be administered are that of the American-German alliance Pfizer-BioNTech and the Chinese Sinopharm.
According to the German data collection site Statista, the Emirates rank second behind Israel in terms of the percentage of the population vaccinated.
With nearly 1.9 million doses administered, the country has vaccinated about 14% of its population of 10 million.
