Tehran-SANA
The Governor of the Central Bank of Iran, Abdel Nasser Hemmati, announced that his country has achieved positive economic growth in the current year that ends next March, pointing out that Iran's economic conditions are bound to improve despite the US embargo.
"The embargo cannot continue and trade relations between Iran and some countries are now witnessing growth," Hemati was quoted by IRNA as saying during his meeting with Armenian Economy Minister Han Karoubian in Tehran today, indicating that the time is right for Armenia, as a friendly and neighbor, to develop its relations with Iran.
Hemmati indicated that during the first ten months of this year, Iran's exports to Armenia reached 260 million dollars, while its imports from it amounted to less than 30 percent of this figure, stressing the need to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries.
For his part, the Armenian minister called for the development of trade and economic relations between the two sides, especially the investment and production activities of the important Iranian companies.
