Around 500 employees at the Airbus plant in Hamburg, in northern Germany, are currently in preventive isolation at their homes after the discovery of 21 confirmed cases of Covid-19 on the site, we learned on Monday from the aircraft manufacturer.

As a precautionary measure, we made a report on each person who entered this production site and asked the employees concerned to voluntarily place themselves in isolation at their home
", indicates an Airbus press release confirming information from the Agefi.
Contacted by AFP, a spokesperson for the group confirms that around 500 people out of the 12,000 on the site are currently concerned.

The authorities are in the process of verifying which are the 1st degree cases according to the RKI specifications (issued by the Robert Koch health watch institute, editor's note).
Only the authorities can quarantine,
