The SNDLL thus hopes to accelerate the vaccination process, by providing suitable spaces for the authorities.

Closed since March 15, will nightclubs finally be able to reopen their doors ... to vaccinate the population?

This is, in any case, the proposal made by the National Union of discos and places of leisure (SNDLL), this Monday.

Led by Patrick Malvaës, the organization brings together some 1,600 establishments in mainland France and overseas.

Based on the observation that it is "

unthinkable

" to reopen discotheques in view of the evolution of the epidemic, the union proposes to transform the establishments "

into emergency vaccination centers for the entire population, thus ensuring an effective network. immediate national territory

”.

He invites "

all public authorities and all municipalities that wish to get in touch now with our operators who will, of course, be happy to help speed up the vaccination system

" in France.

And this, in order to allow a return to normalcy as quickly as possible, key for a resumption of activity in a sector severely affected by the health crisis.

For the SNDLL, the configuration of the establishments concerned is particularly well suited to "

welcoming a public with distancing and safety rules

".

The organization recalls that a nightclub had thus been used to receive “

emergency first aid

” during the Nice attack in July 2016. “

Such a national requisition seems quite natural to the main union in the profession and to its constituents

”.

Without any activity since last March, the discotheques hope to be able to welcome revelers again no later than the summer of 2021. Their pockets are empty and the urgency is felt: "

more than 100 liquidations and 300 recovery procedures or decision to voluntary closures now affect the sector.

To date, 413 nightclubs are in the process of disappearing definitively in all likelihood

”, warns the press release of the organization.

Reopening is therefore "

an absolute necessity

", but it cannot be done without extensive and effective vaccination.

Failing to be able to accommodate lovers of the night, establishments therefore want to bring a slightly different audience to their dance floor.
