The American media reported that the gloves Sanders wore had been snatched in recent days, but he made no profit from it.
From what?
Sanders printed his picture on sweatshirts and shirts.
If you want to buy a sweatshirt you will part with $ 45, while a T-shirt will cost you $ 27.
Needless to say, the initial quantity put up for sale ran out within a few hours.
According to Sanders, the profits are expected to reach millions of dollars, but do not worry, the Jewish senator with the socialist positions will not pocket a single cent.
Sanders has decided to donate all the money that will go into an organization called Meals on Wheels, which operates in his state of Vermont to provide meals for the elderly in hard times.
Sanders of course treated the whole story with humor.
"It turns out it's not only funny, but we also produced a good deed from it," he told CNN.
The organization itself, of course, appreciated the gesture: "We thank him for the generosity and demonstration of leadership. There are very many hungry older people in Vermont."
