The President of the American Central Bank Jerome Powell, 67, said on Wednesday that he had received a first injection of the vaccine against the Covid-19.

"I was vaccinated once, I must have my second injection soon,"
said Jerome Powell at a press conference after a monetary meeting where the Fed insisted that the economic outlook
"Will depend a lot on the evolution of the virus and the progress of vaccinations"

The United States launched its largest vaccination campaign in its history in mid-December, but it got off to a slow start.
Democratic President Joe Biden, as well as Republican Vice President Mike Pence, were vaccinated in public, to encourage people to trust the two vaccines already authorized in the country, that of the Pfizer / BioNTech alliance and that of Moderna. Vice President Kamala Harris also received her first injection in front of photographers at the end of December, as did Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser this week.
