Since the start of the year, Catherine MacGregor has been Engie's new CEO.
She took office almost a year after the tumultuous departure of Isabelle Kocher - whose mandate at the head of the energy company has not been renewed.
A woman to replace a woman: the signal sent by Engie is strong but that does not prevent Catherine MacGregor from being closely observed by Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, the chairman of the board of directors.
His appointment remains an exception.
Within the SBF 120, only two women hold the operational reins, ie 1.7% of managers.
However, the boards of directors are feminized up to 40%.
As for the higher education courses that lead to these managerial positions, they often cultivate parity.
Is the situation frozen or are there warning signs of more “powerful” women in the business, in the buzzy terminology?
