Forklift drivers, storekeepers, logistics operators… These are the profiles most sought after by employers in three of the four departments in the outer suburbs.
Jobs in the health and social sector are also "in tension".
Seine-et-Marne: needs in the health and social sector
Mickey is no longer at the party… Disneyland Paris, the number one private employer in Seine-et-Marne, was at the top of the “recruiters” in our previous employment barometer (with 8,000 scheduled hires, including 1,000 on permanent contracts).
It has almost disappeared from radar.
The amusement park, which has just postponed its reopening date to April 2 (if health rules allow it), has frozen its hiring programs.
A sign of the times, among the biggest job providers, companies in the health and social sector are in the lead.
In particular Solutia (a recruitment agency for home helpers) which posts more than 200 job offers in the department.
Large-scale distribution companies (Carrefour, Lidl, etc.) are also very present on the job market and recruit both in the sales sector and in the logistics sector.
Adecco had spotted in Seine-et-Marne more than 1,300 classified ads for storage and warehousing activities in the last quarter of 2020.
Yvelines: Thales, Bouygues and Korian are recruiting
With an unemployment rate of 7.2% (the lowest in Ile-de-France), the Yvelines department occupies a somewhat special place.
While the number of job seekers (73,000 at the end of 2020) has increased by 13.5% in one year, the need for labor and new talents is on the rise in almost all promising economic sectors: commerce, industry, personal services ...
In a department which concentrates three quarters of the workforce in the automotive sector in Ile-de-France, jobs in the mechanical sector figure in the top tier of trades that recruit the most.
A strong demand for trompe l'oeil?
The Renault factories in Flins and PSA in Poissy are both undergoing reorganization… not necessarily creating jobs.
They are not among the companies in Yvelines which foresee the most recruitments.
Thales (electronics and high technology), Bouygues construction and the Korian group (retirement homes) occupy the first places in the ranking.
Essonne: home help and life support posts
“The Brétigny site is still in the growth phase.
Amazon France assures us: its sixth distribution center, opened in 2019 in Essonne, will continue to recruit this year.
The giant platform which already employs 1,800 people on permanent contracts should still hire "several hundred permanent contracts" in 2021.
These projects, like those of many other logistics platforms in the department, place storekeeper jobs at the top of the list of jobs recruiting in the department.
Just ahead of automotive mechanics, also in great demand (with no less than 780 job offers listed by Adecco analytics at the end of 2020).
However, it is neither the online commerce giant nor the mechanical companies that ranks at the top of the companies offering the most jobs, but two “recruiters” from the health and social sector: Solutia (home help, carer …) And the Hospital Federation of France.
The unemployment rate in the department fell from 6.8% at the end of 2019 to 7.6% a year later.
Val-d'Oise: the wholesale trade is looking for help
“The economic development around Roissy will perhaps go more slowly than expected.
But it will happen.
With the explosion of e-commerce, the logistics sector is experiencing an incredible growth rate!
»Coué method to the agency responsible for promoting the economic attractiveness of the region?
Val-d'Oise, which has an unemployment rate of 9.6%, has in any case suffered from the health crisis and the decline (by almost 70%) in traffic on the airport platform where more than 90,000 work. employees.

However, labor needs have started to rise again, particularly in the areas of wholesale trade, social action and logistics.
As in the neighboring departments, it is this last sector of activity which is the most in tension in terms of recruitment.
The emergency plan for Val-d'Oise announced by the region after the abandonment of the Europa City project on the "triangle of Gonesse" - a gigantic cultural and commercial complex which was to generate 10,000 jobs according to its promoters - notably provides for strengthening of training structures in the department.

THE NUGGET.
Its germicidal keyboards will create ten jobs
Loïc Gauthier, the boss of the cutting-edge industrial SME Eoz./LP/BH
What if an economically destructive virus could ultimately lead to job creation?
Loïc Gauthier, the boss of the cutting-edge industrial SME Eoz based in Limoges-Fourches (Seine-et-Marne), is proof of this.
His company of 23 employees, specializing in human-machine interfaces (keyboards, digicodes, numeric keypads, high-tech pushbuttons for the military or aeronautics sector, etc.), took advantage of the slowdown in activity caused by the crisis sanitary ware to design new products.
The launch of their production, scheduled for this year, will require reinforcements.
"We plan to recruit ten to twelve people in the next 18 months," confirms Loïc Gauthier.
“We saw confinement as an opportunity to invest in research.
It is not a natural process at the height of a crisis.
But that's the right thing to do.
"
From the spring of 2020, the small company therefore pulled out of its boxes an “old” project put back on the agenda by the pandemic: the design of an automatic ultraviolet disinfection system integrated into high-use keyboards.
Less than 10 months later, the “germicidal keyboard” is at the prototype stage.
“The finished product will be ready in March-April.
But mass production is likely to start much later.
This will depend on the feedback from customers, ”warns Loïc Gauthier, who however plans short-term recruitments for the launch of another production line.
This dynamism has earned Eoz to be one of the three companies in Seine-et-Marne eligible for the State stimulus plan.
The aid of 500,000 euros will make it possible to speed up the "germicidal keyboards" program at a total cost of 1.8 million euros.
For an SME with an annual turnover of 4 million euros, the investment is colossal.
Loïc Gauthier assumes.
"In industry, you always have to prepare for the next step", enthuses the entrepreneur, recalling that Eoz has its own design office, its test laboratory, manufactures its printed circuits ... "It increases our costs.
But this is the price to pay to keep control of our processes and our products and to continue to produce here ", concludes this" lover of French industry ".
