The International Monetary Fund has expected that the economic recovery in the Middle East and North Africa will accelerate this year, but in a "disproportionate" manner due to the imbalance in the capabilities of the countries of the region to obtain vaccines for the Corona virus.
"We expect this year to recover after 2020, which was an unprecedented year as the region faced one of the most severe double shocks," Agence France-Presse quoted Jihad Azour, director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department, as saying yesterday, adding that the pace of recovery will vary between countries depending on "Access to the vaccine."
