RATP and SNCF announced this Friday evening that they had signed the contract awarding the Bombardier Transport-CAF consortium to supply new trainsets for the RER B, even though Alstom, which took over Bombardier, withdrew Bombardier's offer.

"Alstom's decision to withdraw the final offer from Bombardier being irregular, the Bombardier / CAF consortium remains fully committed"

after Alstom's withdrawal of its last resort, said RATP and SNCF in a press release.
