An "anomaly" was detected on the autothrottles of the Boeing of Sriwijaya Air which crashed off Indonesia last month with 62 people on board, according to a preliminary report by investigators released on Wednesday and which remains cautious about the causes of the crash.

"The two autothrottles (an automatic thrust regulation system for an airplane) showed anomalies," said Nurcahyo Utomo, investigator for the Indonesian Transport Security Agency during a press briefing.
