The Minister of Social Development, Daniel Arroyo, clarified today that "
price control is a task carried out by the Secretary of Commerce,
" and that social organizations "collaborate" in that task.
Arroyo, speaking on La Red radio, added that "what social organizations do is collaborate, carry out surveys, but the task, which carries out the action, is the Secretary of Commerce."
Arroyo's clarification arises after several social organizations, including the Evita Movement, Barrios de Pie and the Classist and Combative Current (CCC) announced that they will
control compliance with the Care Prices plan
and the agreements reached by the cuts of meat
in supermarkets

The head of Social Development also affirmed that "the cost of food is the most serious problem in the neighborhoods", and stressed that "
the increase in food is usually greater in the poorest neighborhoods
."
Arroyo recalled that to cushion this situation "we increased the amount of the Alimentar card by 50%, which reaches one and a half million families and is recharged on the third Friday of the month."
The 50% increase will be applied to the two categories of this program: mothers with a single child under 6 years old who received $ 4,000 per month will go on to receive $ 6,000, while those with two or more children under 6 years old and they received $ 6,000, they will go on to collect $ 9,000.
This benefit is complementary to the Universal Child Allowance (AUH).
The official described that another problem that exists in the popular neighborhoods is "
the indebtedness of the families.

non-bank credits at a rate of 3% per year
