PMU flies to the aid of cafes in an attempt to save the horse racing industry

The sports betting company has set up an assistance plan for its closed points of sale. The objective: to maintain a network capable of financing the racing sector hit by the economic crisis.


For cafes that have been closed since October 30, any helping hand is welcome.

In addition to government aid, the sector heavily hit by the economic crisis is receiving aid from PMU.

And for good reason, without its precious distribution network, the entire horse racing industry is in danger of ruin.

This 8 million euros support plan, announced last December, is aimed at bars and cafes which represent a third of the 13,000 PMU outlets and which generate 40% of its turnover.

With this plan, the French company thus supports an amount corresponding to one month's rent

"for 1,500 of them who report very great cash flow difficulties and 50%
