The price of gold in the local market rose today by 3,000 Syrian pounds, compared to its last price last Thursday.
According to the bulletin issued by the Craft Society for Crafting and Jewelry Making in Damascus, the selling price was recorded at 175,000 Syrian pounds for a 21-carat gram and the purchase was 174500 pounds, while the price of a gram of 18-carat gold, selling 150,000 pounds and buying 149,500 pounds.
The association circulated to the craftsmen the necessity of adhering to the pricing issued by it, indicating that selling at a price higher than the specified price is a violation that exposes the perpetrator to legal violations and closing the shop.
