The price of a gram of gold in the local market today rose by 3,000 Syrian pounds, compared to yesterday's price.
According to the bulletin issued by the Handicraft Society for Crafting and Jewelry Making in Damascus, the selling price was recorded at 178,000 Syrian pounds for 21-carat gram and the purchase was 177,500 pounds, while the price of a gram of 18-carat gold, selling 152571 pounds and buying 152071 pounds.
The association asked the craftsmen to adhere to the price it issued, indicating that selling at a price higher than the specified price is a violation that exposes the perpetrator to legal violations and closing the shop.
