The closure of canteens and restaurants has supported the activity of food chains.
The Casino group saw its turnover increase by 8% last year, to 32 billion euros.
Its current operating income jumped 25%.

Refocused on its premium brands (Monoprix, Franprix), e-commerce (Cdiscount) and urban proximity (Monop '), relieved of its loss-making stores, the group has put all its brands back in the green, including its Géant hypermarkets for the first time in nearly ten years.
