    This sad reality will be at the center of a special election panel of the Association of Centers for Assistance to Victims of Sexual Assault: "The Struggle for Sexual Violence - A Social Protest to a Political Force."

    The panel will be held on Wednesday, March 3 at 8:30 p.m., and will be broadcast live on Walla! NEWS.



    The panel will be moderated by journalist Meirav Miller, and will be attended by Minister Hili Trooper, Chairman of the Labor Party MK Merav Michaeli, MK Oded Forer of Yisrael Beiteinu, Minister of Culture and Sports Hili Trooper, MK Keren Barak of the Likud, MK Tamar Zandberg Meretz, MK Michal Shir of New Hope, MK Aida Toma Suleiman from the joint list, MK Idit Silman on the right and MK Yoav Saglowitz Mish Atid. Representatives and representatives of nine parties will address the burning questions, explain how to address the many problems and answer questions from the audience. .

    "The current situation, in which sexual offense cases are closed wholesale, victims of unnecessary secondary harm in the criminal procedure that is even described as 'second rape', and free offenders continue to harm, is not a decree from heaven. The solutions are known - and above all, the establishment of specialized courts for sexual offenses. "Adapted to sexual offenses from the police investigation stage, through the management of the case in the State Attorney's Office to the court itself. Now that the candidates are seeking our trust, it is time to understand who will work for the Israeli public the day after the election."



    In addition to the law enforcement system and designated courts, the panel will address additional issues and shortcomings in the systemic response to the phenomenon.

    Among other things, the panel will discuss the lack of mental and medical treatment for victims of sexual violence, the lack of a protected program and ensuring education for the prevention of sexual abuse and the appropriate response to injured students, neglecting the use of available supervision of convicted pedophiles and repeat offenders In homes following the prolonged closures in the past year.

    Over 50,000 inquiries are received at the assistance centers for victims of sexual assault each year.

    The nine assistance centers deployed throughout the country provide a wide range of solutions for victims of sexual violence and their families, including the immediate assistance system at the emergency lines (24/7), chat and WhatsApp, support in legal proceedings, support groups, assistance in exercising economic rights and more.

    In addition, assistance centers operate within and cooperate with the local community, and operate sexual violence prevention programs in educational settings and sexual harassment prevention and treatment programs in organizations and workplaces.



    The Association of Centers for Assistance to Victims and Victims of Sexual Assault is the umbrella organization of the centers, and acts as an agency for social change at the national and systemic level that complements the individual work carried out in the centers.

    The association works to promote the rights and services of victims, to adopt systemic prevention and treatment measures and to reduce the scope of the phenomenon in Israel.
