The UN Security Council on Friday unanimously adopted a United Kingdom resolution demanding equity in access to vaccines against the Covid-19 pandemic, diplomatic sources have learned.

The adopted resolution, the second in a year of the Security Council on the pandemic, also calls for solidarity and ceasefires in the world to better fight against the virus and carry out vaccinations.
Rarely at the UN, the resolution was co-sponsored by all 15 members of the Security Council, according to the same sources.
