To avoid crowded trains and curb the spread of the virus, the transport supply had not diminished.
It will now be reduced on Monday, March 1, indicates Ile-de-France Mobilités: “
In view of the reality of traffic, the daytime offer is gradually adjusted for the less frequented lines (nearly 90% of the usual offer)
".
For heavily used lines, such as “
metro lines 7 and 13 or the RER B
”, nothing changes.
Since the beginning of the year the offer had already been revised with the curfew.
These adjustments were "
made very gradually to stick to the reality of traffic, in permanent consultation with user associations
" specifies Ile-de-France Mobilités.
The current modifications will be made in the same spirit.
Concretely, Ile-de-France residents will have a little less metro available to them during off-peak hours from March 1.
No worries however, Ile-de-France Mobilités assures Le Figaro that "
these changes will have almost no impact on people's daily lives
" and that ultimately, "the
reduction in supply will be painless for
Ile-de-France
residents
" .
