RATP is preparing for the future with an autonomous shuttle on weekends

Since the end of January, the Régie has been testing a driverless shuttle that runs through the Bois de Vincennes every weekend in the afternoon.

Since the end of January, it has been testing a driverless shuttle that runs through the Bois de Vincennes every weekend in the afternoon.

A 6 km journey punctuated by eight stops which connects the yellow door to the town hall of Vincennes in traffic.

The vehicle drives itself: a RATP agent is on board to take control of the machine in the event of a problem.

Pandemic requires, only four passengers can board, while this vehicle is intended for ten people.

The king of public transport in the Paris region is not at his first attempt in the field: since 2017, he has transported on board a similar machine 40,000 passengers between the Porte de Vincennes metro station and the Floral Park.

All this without a hitch or accident.
