Germany will in turn authorize the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine against Covid-19 for people over the age of 65, following recent encouraging medical studies, Angela Merkel announced on Wednesday (March 3).

"The (German) vaccine agency, and we will gladly follow its recommendations, will authorize AstraZeneca for groups of older people"
, over 65, said the German Chancellor after a meeting on the national anti-Covid strategy with the regional states of the country. So far, Berlin had not authorized this vaccine for people over 65, arguing insufficient data.
