State management: the "pro bono" missions of consulting firms in the sights of deputies

Pro-bono

consultancy services with

regard to public administration and political parties are in the sights of LR deputies.

Led by Olivier Marleix, around thirty deputies have tabled a bill to ban these unpaid assignments.

The State's use of services from outside consulting firms, and often foreign ones, such as Deloitte, BCG, McKinsey or EY, is an old phenomenon, including in the sovereign domain.

It is governed by public framework contracts, managed by the Interministerial Directorate for Public Transformation (DITP) since 2017. However, these firms sometimes support an administration or a political party free of charge.
