Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) is to testify at the end of April as a witness in the committee of inquiry into the billions scandal at the former Dax company Wirecard.
Your statement is scheduled for April 23, reported the dpa news agency, citing committee circles.
Merkel is supposed to testify because she campaigned for Wirecard on a trip to China, although there were already doubts about the integrity of the company - especially in press reports.
The day before, Vice Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) should testify.
The testimony of Economics Minister Peter Altmaier (CDU) is planned for April 20.
The up-and-coming technology group Wirecard admitted a balance sheet hole of 1.9 billion euros last summer and then filed for bankruptcy.
According to prosecutors, it could be years of fraud and an even larger sum.
After the uncovered accounting scandal, Wirecard was thrown out of the Dax.
Because the scandal remained undiscovered for years, the financial supervisory authority Bafin and EY auditors have come under fire.
