Of the 37 CAC 40 companies that have published their results so far, 33 have already announced that they intend to pay a dividend for 2020. Among these companies, we find the usual darling of investors, known for care for their shareholders, such as Danone, Air Liquide, Michelin, Schneider, Legrand and Sanofi.
Total, a traditional return value, also maintains its generous distribution policy despite the heavy loss in 2020. The company, which pays a quarterly dividend, has simply reduced to the margin the sum due to shareholders this year, to 2.64 euros, against 2.68 euros last year.
Backed by a solid balance sheet, Total has little difficulty overcoming a crisis that is by nature temporary.
