The committee stressed during its meeting today headed by Prime Minister Hussein Arnous on the pivotal role of this sector and its pioneering performance in facing the crisis facing the country, while the proposals dealt with options for reforming the economic public sector, providing sources of funding, studying proposed structures for public companies to play the economic role entrusted to them and setting laws governing To choose the form that suits the nature of the institution and its functions, to embody the concept of the partner worker, to distribute a portion of the profits to the employees to motivate them, and to enable the boards of directors to play their role optimally

Arnous stressed the importance of reconsidering the way in which public economic institutions are managed in line with the challenges posed by the terrorist war on Syria and the requirements of the reconstruction phase and the need to formulate the public sector reform law with a flexible mentality, stressing that the pressures facing the Syrian economy as a result of the unjust economic blockade require harnessing Optimally available capabilities to improve services provided to citizens in a way that serves developmental aspirations.
