The study subjects are allowed to surf the Internet and turn on their side.
But at least one shoulder must always touch the mattress.

Mona, 28, is proud of her scars.
The doctors removed her muscle tissue from her lower leg six times, and six wounds remained.
If she wears skirts or shorts she is often approached about it, but she doesn't mind.
On the contrary.
She likes to talk about the time in autumn 2019, which she calls "my adventure" and about which she says: "I shook hands with Christopher Columbus."
At that time Mona lived for three months in an institute of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Cologne.
For 60 days she lay there in bed, upside down, with no pillow.
The top of her bed was angled down six degrees.
She was not allowed to get up or even sit up for 60 days.
Neither to shower nor to eat, even the urge to go had to be done in bed.
One shoulder always had to touch the mattress.
Mona is a management consultant and specializes in process optimization.
She had agreed a one-year break with her employer.
"I wrote a few more work e-mails out of bed," she says.
"That wasn't a problem, I was allowed to lie on my side and use my laptop."
