Digital professions: where are the women?

The digital sector, both in terms of employment and education, remains mainly a man's world in Europe.

While the share of women is now close to parity with 48.4% of jobs, today it only represents 18% of employees in the information and communications technologies (ICT) sector in Europe. .

Almost all businesses use information and communications technology, which requires specialists to develop, adapt, maintain or support IT systems.

ICT professions range from specialists in web solutions for businesses and e-commerce, to programmer analysts to cloud computing and artificial intelligence professionals.
