The Syrian Investment Authority announced the inclusion of two specific projects for the manufacture of fertilizers and fodder with the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 8 of 2007 to take advantage of the exemptions, benefits and facilities contained therein with the aim of increasing the contribution of the agricultural sector in moving the economic wheel and securing local needs.
The Director General of the Authority, Madin Diab, explained in a statement to SANA that two projects for the manufacture of zeolite fertilizers and fodder in Adra Industrial City in Damascus countryside were included, starting with the extraction of zeolite material available in the quarries of the General Organization of Geology and Mineral Resources and ending with manufacturing and packaging.
Diab pointed out that the two covered projects operate with an annual production capacity of 130,000 tons of zeolitic fertilizers, 45,000 tons of fodder and 50,000 tons of soil conditioners.
It is noteworthy that the two projects are presented within the national investment plan prepared by the authority in coordination with the public authorities and supported by all possible incentives and facilities to accelerate their entry into the production process.
