The dialogue of the deaf between Suez and Veolia continues, making a friendly marriage between the two French water and waste giants more and more improbable.
After buying 29.9% of the capital of its rival from Engie in early October, Veolia filed a proposed public tender offer (takeover bid) on Suez with the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) on February 8.
