On Friday, YPF announced that it was increasing fuels by 15% in three batches: 5% in March, the same in April and the rest in May.
However, as Clarín warned, that figure
did not include the tax burden on the dispatch of gasoline
, which rose last Friday.
Thus, the first of these increases, which
will take effect from hour 0 of this Tuesday, will finally be 7.9% in the City of Buenos Aires and 7% in the rest of the country.
Although the oil company has not yet communicated its new price list, it is estimated that a
liter of super gasoline will rise from $ 75 to $ 81
in the City.
The average increase in CABA will reach 7.9%.
In the rest of the country, where the amounts are higher, the increase will be 7% on average.
This is because the company considers that there is a great difference between Buenos Aires prices and those of the interior, a situation that it seeks to balance.
Last Friday, YPF announced that it will increase its fuels by 15% for the remainder of the year.
But it was only referring to its refining margins
.
There are other aspects that carve into your costs, such as biofuels and taxes.
Company executives will negotiate with the Ministry of Economy so that there is no tax increase in June and September, with the aim that the impact on the pumps is not greater.

The other oil companies almost always follow YPF with increases
on the same day or the next day.
In that sense, it is to be expected that there will be generalized adjustments, unless someone wants to take off with a different strategy.
Service station sales are still
12-15% below pre-pandemic levels.
YPF
already raised prices by 40% between August 2020 and last February.
