Damascus Securities Exchange trades about 316 million pounds

The Damascus Stock Exchange trading session closed today on a trading volume of 270,306 shares distributed over 179 deals with a total trading value of 315,933 million pounds, to close the market index at a value of 10,172,33 points, down by 3.24 points from the previous session, with a change rate of 0,03 percent.

Shares of five companies rose, namely, Al-Sham Bank by 0.11 percent, Syria International Islamic Bank by 0.09 percent, Bemo Saudi Fransi Bank by 2.69 percent, Al-Badia Cement Company by 2.3 percent, and Syria International Insurance by 4.8 percent.

As a result of today's trading session, the shares of six companies decreased, namely, Bank of Qatar by 0.6 percent, Al-Baraka Bank by 1.9 percent, the National Company for Vegetable Oil Industry by 1.9 percent, Bank of Syria and Overseas by 31.1 percent, Bank Audi by 1.198 percent, and Fransabank by 31.1 percent.

The shares of Al-Aqeelah Takaful Insurance Company, the International Bank for Trade and Finance and the Bank of Syria and the Gulf did not record any adjustment to their prices and closed equal to the closing prices of the previous trading session, while the other 13 companies listed on the market did not witness any deal on their shares.
