Relaunching the industry: a new envelope of nearly 300 million euros

The state and the regions announced on Tuesday an additional envelope of nearly 300 million euros, paid in equal parts, to accelerate 550 new industrial development projects in the territories as part of the recovery plan.

The industrial investment acceleration fund in the territories was initially endowed with 400 million euros from the State in the recovery plan, supplemented by a contribution of 24 million euros from certain regions.

The new envelope of nearly 300 million euros is based this time on equal co-financing: "

", underlined the Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire in front of the press, welcoming "

the quality of this cooperation between the State and the regions

".

The potential of this new envelope is estimated at more than 500 new industrial projects and 5,000 new jobs, said Minister responsible for Industry Agnès Pannier-Runacher.

Co-financing

In detail, the State announced an additional budget of 157 million euros, including 141.5 million euros for projects located in the 12 partner metropolitan regions, which will also pay 141.5 million euros. 'euros.

The rest of the state support (15.5 million euros) will specifically help Corsica and the overseas territories as well as the territories facing major industrial shocks, or collective projects.

Referring to the State-Regions partnership, the Minister for Territorial Cohesion Jacqueline Gourault specified that she had already signed "

" with 9 regions, and that the 10th would be signed on March 30 with the Grand Est region.

The first allocation provided for in the recovery plan of 400 million euros, almost all of which was committed in 7 months, made it possible to support 531 projects between September 2020 and March 2021, representing a global industrial investment of more than 2, 55 billion euros.

90% of these projects concern SMEs and mid-cap companies, and should make it possible to create 14,000 direct jobs and consolidate more than 51,000 industrial jobs.
