The meeting of the Minister of Industry, Ziyad Sabbagh, with the Board of Directors of the Industrial City of Sheikh Najjar in Aleppo focused on the reality of investment in the city and the measures taken to facilitate the return of industrial facilities to work and production and the difficulties faced by industrialists to market their products and ways to overcome them.

Minister Sabbagh stressed during the meeting the importance of returning industrial establishments in Sheikh Najjar to work and encouraging their owners to return to them, rehabilitate and operate them as a result of the damage they suffered as a result of terrorism, explaining that government agencies work with the private sector as a single team to make decisions and overcome the difficulties facing the work of industrialists and achieve partnership and cooperation to increase production and face The economic pressures that target us and that the government is counting a lot on the productive sector in the Governorate of Aleppo, being the most dynamic of the rest of the productive sectors in the governorates.

Engineer Hazem Ajjan, Director of the Industrial City, gave a brief explanation of the reality of work and investment in the city, pointing out that 685 industrial establishments have returned to work since the city was liberated from terrorism at the hands of the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army and distributed to various sectors of the textile, food, engineering, chemical and software industry.

Ajjan referred to the vital and developmental projects that have been put in place for implementation in the industrial city action plan, including the establishment of the exhibition city, media production, labor housing, freight forwarding offices, and the establishment of a dry port to connect the city with the Jibreen train station.

A number of industrialists demanded, during their interventions, to address the electricity situation and the frequent interruptions that negatively affect production and lead to waste in the product, secure the fuels and fuel needed to operate the factories, issue the necessary legislations and laws to facilitate the movement of exporting goods and products to foreign markets and neighboring countries, and to achieve the competitiveness of the national product.

During his inspection of a number of industrial facilities in Sheikh Najjar, which included metal industries, steel, textile industries, carpets, glue and printing, Minister Sabbagh briefed on the mechanism of work and production in them and heard from their owners the most prominent difficulties that hinder the work.

Fares Al-Shehabi, head of the Aleppo Chamber of Industry, and a number of industrialists participated in the tour.

Also, during Minister Sabbagh's meeting with the Chairman and members of the Aleppo Chamber of Industry Council, the industrial reality in the governorate was reviewed, ways to develop and increase production, the requirements for improving the work environment and the role of the Chamber of Industry in training and qualifying industrial cadres.
