The AFIP extends the expiration of the Wealth Tax until April 16

The original deadline was until March 30. It reaches 13,000 people and with assets of over $ 200 million.

The AFIP will extend until April

16

, inclusive, the expiration of the obligations to present the affidavit and the payment of the Wealth Tax.

The originally scheduled expiration date was March

30.

The new tax is estimated to reach around 13,000 people with assets of more than

$ 200 million

.

Sources of the agency affirmed that the measure was taken to "facilitate the income of the solidarity and extraordinary contribution." 

The body led by Mercedes Marcó del Pont had received several requests to obtain an extension.

Different business entities such as the UIA, the Construction Chamber and the Chamber of Commerce requested more deadlines.

Through letters, the entities made reference to the need for

a longer term

so that their constituents reached can produce the documentation and supporting information necessary to make the payment of the Contribution.

Despite this change, the dates corresponding

to the payment facility plan of up to five installments are not modified.

The AFIP indicated that it is progressing with the inspection of those people where the failure to present their sworn statements of Personal Assets in 2019 constitutes

an indubitable indication of a scheme to avoid payment of the Contribution.

The agency reported that it began the audits and will make criminal complaints for aggravated evasion when they do not make the payment of the contribution.
